Conclucion : We can summarize our results by observing that Serenoa repens could lead to an improvement of androgenetic alopecia, while finasteride confirmed its efficacy. We also clinically observed, that finasteride acts in both the front area and the vertex, while Serenoa repens prevalently in the vertex. Obviously other studies will be necessary to clarify the mechanisms that cause the different responses of these two treatments.

lo que ocurre aquí es que se midió cuanto nuevo pelo tuvieron...y todos sabemos que lo que hace el finasteride sobre todo es estancar la miniaturización..

es un estudio de 2 años, lo más importante aquí es que pasados dos años por lo menos ambos grupos mantuvieron cabello?? aunque eso no lo especifican, solo hablan a los que ganaron, es posible que a muchos directamente no les funcionase y estuviesen peor que al comienzo, después de 2 años...si no lo especifican, no queda claro.
